The Peugeot 5008 sits in the Large SUV market as a slightly smaller SUV option. That can be a real bonus, as it still comfortably accommodates seven adults, and has a much better fuel consumption rate to boot.
Basically a more spacious version of the renowned Peugeot 3008, the 5008 packs enough punch to suit most drivers, with enough get up and go to give you a powerful feel on the road. This is the SUV to opt for if you do lots of motorway travel, too - the 5008 is relatively softly sprung, making for a gentle and calm ride, even at motorway speeds.
Peugeot is renowned as one of Europe’s major automotive manufacturers, with their long history allied to rallying and motorsport. The French brand was founded in 1810, and their reputation for speed, strength, and flexibility is now long-established. It is also a great brand for the eco-friendly driver, as they have ranked second lowest for CO2 emissions in Europe.

All versions offer height adjustments to the driver’s seat, and the steering wheel is reach and rake-adjustable. The steering wheel is part of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit dashboard, and is noticeably small - the idea being that you see the surrounding data on the high-set instruments above the steering wheel, rather than through it, as is convention - where they argue data can be potentially obscured.
Rival models include the Nissan X Trail Station Wagon, which offers light steering and soft suspension - a sturdy SUV for every eventuality.
