Despite the Peugeot Boxer minibus being on the market for quite some time now, it's become increasingly popular over the last couple of years, particularly due to the fact that you can drive it on a normal driving licence (B1), as well as it having wide, comfortable seating arrangement and its ability to seat 17 passengers (including driver) - not to mention it’s Euro 6 compliant, too.

The Peugeot Boxer Minibus is a converted van and as such may not include some of the safety features that a factory-built Minibus would provide.

The vehicle comes with electric windows and mirrors, DAB Radio, Bluetooth, remote central locking, electronic immobiliser, lane departure warning system, and driver and passenger airbags as some minibuses that are van conversions will not have a passenger airbag as standard. This is always worth checking if you are considering other makes and models.

Choosing your Peugeot Boxer minibus

There are three model variants, 15 and 16 seats which are under 3.5 tonne and a 17 seat option with a wheelchair ramp. This was designed for the community transport sector and both can be driven on a category B license (normal Car license) subject to conditions.

The rear of the vehicle will have a fully trimmed interior, factory fitted windows, overhead locker above the driver (only available on the 17 seat version), automatic side step, M2 tested 3 point adjustable all-age seat belts, Durable, easy clean anti-slip floor, ABS hardback seats.

It is worth noting that the 17 seat variant of the Boxer comes with a wheelchair ramp and four removable seats. A standard 17 seat is also available, however, a D1 will be required to drive it.

All the floors, seats, seat belts and wheelchair restraints which have been tested to meet European safety standards and are approved by Peugeot. All lightweight minibuses also come with the added reassurance of an Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) certificate, independently verified by a Driver and Vehicle Safety Standards Agency (DVSA) and at an appointed test centre.
